Rollercoaster

The events of the world rise toward the top of the big drop.

Events on the job rise toward the top of the big drop.

It has been a while since I have been employed in a profession so indirectly directly affected by world events.

When the downward drops begins, the metaphor breaks. We don’t know where the coaster is going to end up with the Iraqi infractions, and the course of my current job is similarly unpredictable. The coaster will undoubtedly jump the tracks in one way or another in both arenas.

Fun for me. Fun for the world.

Long Week

Long Week

Stretching in the past and future
The time does not yield
Taking it an hour at a time
Angers it
Pushes it
Time fights back
Always wins

Zapping To It

I don’t know quite what took so long, but I have finally got myself set up on a dynamic IP DNS service.

Will probably take some time to propagate, but at least I can set up Moveable Type one more time without having to reconfigure each time my IP changes.

Of course, my IP didn’t ever change until I started running a web server. Hardly the most shocking coincidence, but frustrating nevertheless.
